Absolutely unreal. There should be more of these.

chemistry

Love this. Love my type class. Can't get enough of Bodoni.

...or be square

Such a pretty thing. Brion Nuda Rosch's piece entitled "Future Goals and Expectations for Competition." It makes me very pensive. And pink feeling.

New(ton)

Finally it's out! I've been waiting for this. Mr. Faulkner's music is so dreamy. I can't get enough of this guy.

posted

This idea's got class. This guy turns those ugly handwritten flyers you see taped to light posts into such cool graphic work, then posts them in the same spot. That sneaky little hijacker. Why didn't I think of this?

llama?

My kinda weird maclab project. Don't judge him. He just wishes he had cool antlers.

light me up

These spectacular creations are by photographer Rune Guneriussen. Everyday indoor objects + outdoor settings= crazy coolness. I absolutely love how he transforms the space. And I really wish I could have christmas lights like in the middle picture. My absolute favorite is the top one though. How enchanting?!

little world

As if my life isn't busy enough, I've found a new desire to make a terrarium. The idea of bringing nature indoors is just so enticing. Who wouldn't want a tiny field of moss in their bedroom?!

rush

My favorite scene from August Rush! The music is by artist Kaki King. She is absolutely hypnotizing.

wild thang

I can not wait 'till this movie comes out! Also, take a gander at Terrible Yellow Eyes, a collection of wild thing art. Pretty awesome.

sideways

Okay so take this image... Pretty cool as it is, right?
...and flip in on its side.
You've got an otherworldly surrealist stone man.
What a great idea from the author of resurrection fern. I'm so tempted to do this with every landscape photo I have.

ace!

Such cool decks of cards! And how strange is it that the one on the right isn't numbered? It is my dream to find something like this. Gotta start learning how to hit those flea markets. By the way I found this on a cool little blog called a little house in the clouds.

off-white

Street art is just great. You can find the most amusing things on public walls.

silky

These letterforms by Tania Alvarez are so dreamy!

lotus

I'm not too sure what lotus root is. Or why you'd eat it. But this makes it look like there's a lotus-root-eating garden party going on. This is some of Katie Daisy's typography work, but she also has some really neat patterns and illustrations to boot.

pass the grady

Wow. Grady Mcferrin, take me to these places. I just happened to stumble across this artist today and what a pleasant, pleasant surprise. I'll be keeping tabs on you, sir.

tape

Just came across these. I took them on a trip to NYC last spring in a gallery somewhere in Chealsea. This artist was so great! And has an amazing sense of humor. And a very inventive use of scotch tape. I wish i took a picture of his/her name... I want to see more.

sun-catcher

This is such a cool idea! It's like catching a huge firefly and being able to keep it forever. Buy one here.

Red and Purple

This song by the Dodos is my obsession right now. And isn't that tiny little piano adorable?!

potions

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab has such awesome looking perfume oils. I just wish i could smell them all! And they have the coolest names too. There's even a whole group of just Alice in Wonderland themed oils.

inside the lines

Pass the crayons! This brings out the five year old in my already-too-adolescent self. Good music + cute illustrations + charity = a dream come true for all those who miss the good old days of fighting over seafoam green and staying in-between the lines.

Ethel Verduzco

What gorgeous photos! These all take me into some unreachable magical place. I want to be there! And I want to wear colorful warpaint! Check out her photostream.

"Survival is not possible if one approaches his environment, the social drama, with a fixed, unchangeable point of view - the witless repetitive response to the unperceived."- Marshall McLuhan from The Medium is the Massage.

This guy has some intense theories. It's an engaging read. I'd recommend.
